How To Plan A Disney World Vacation in 5 Easy Steps – With Tips Along the Way!
Planning a trip to Disney World can be overwhelming. Disney is huge – so many decisions to make, so many options to choose – where do you start?
To make planning your vacation a little easier, here’s a video on 5 easy steps you can take to plan your Disney World vacation.
It really comes down to some very simple things you can decide:
#1 When do you want to go?
#2 Where do you want to stay?
#3 Do you want a package or to book everything (tickets, hotel, etc.) separately?
#4 What kind of tickets do you want (park hopper, base, etc.)? (Savings Tip: You can get a 5 day ticket for the price of a 4 day ticket HERE)
#5 Which rides do you want to Fastpass?
The video above will walk you through these questions with tips along the way.
Personally I’m all about doing Disney the easiest, most comfortable way possible (I’m lazy, I admit it). So I like to go during the downtimes when there won’t be a lot of lineups.
I also like the convenience of staying at a Disney World resort – it may be a bit more expense. But when you compare it to what you save on a car rental, parking and food on a resort (you can get the dining plan if you stay at a Disney World resort), it works out to be about the same.
Plan Your Disney World Vacation: Tickets and Fastpass:
As far as tickets go – the base ticket is a bit cheaper. But if you want to hop around parks, then a park hopper is a good idea. It’s just nice to have that freedom.
And make sure that if you are going during the busy season that you book your favorite rides with Fastpass plus as soon as possible (you can do this 2 months ahead if you’re staying at a DW resort or 1 month ahead if you’re not on a DW resort).
Some of the most popular rides at Disney World (that you will most certainly want to Fastpass) are:
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Peter Pan’s Flight
Big Thunder Mountain
Toy Story Midway Mania
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Kali River Rapids
